Meet your SLP

Hey there, I’m Nadia! I am a multilingual Spanish and Urdu speech-language pathologist (SLP) with a passion for strengthening speech and language skills, all while celebrating families’ cultural and linguistic diversity. With a decade of experience, I’ve worked in private practice and schools, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, occupational and physical therapists, mental health professionals) for children with developmental delays. My specialties include boosting early language development, supporting receptive/ expressive language disorders and articulation/phonological disorders, strengthening early literacy and phonemic awareness, and participating in pragmatic/social language.

Training and experience

I am ASHA certified and hold state licenses in Virginia, District of Columbia, and New York. I earned my B.S. at Montclair State University and M.S. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Columbia University. I’m also credentialed with the Bilingual Education Extension in Spanish. In 2022, I was awarded Excellence in Supervision by Yeshiva University, an award given to mentors for their commitment to SLPs in training.

Monumental Speech was created out of the need for speech therapy services in the comfort of your own home. Children and parents alike can learn how to generalize newly acquired skills, using their home language, not just academic language, in their natural environment. Children don't need to give up one language to learn another. I assess skills across languages so that a language difference isn't mistaken for a disorder, and I coach parents to practice in the language they're most comfortable using. I believe children will increase in confidence when they feel comfortable and safe. That’s why establishing rapport and developing a strong therapeutic relationship is always my first step!

My approach

Our Mission:

At Monumental Speech, we are committed to giving culturally and linguistically diverse communities the strong communication foundations they need to thrive through compassionate, accessible therapy. Equally, we invest in the emerging clinicians who will carry this work forward, offering diligent mentorship and supervision that transforms good training into great practice. Together, we build a louder, more inclusive future.
